BART's Cyber Attack
As we speak, the international group "Anonymous" has hacked the website mybart.org and has released the names, addresses, phone numbers and passwords of hundreds of its users from around the Bay Area.
Anonymous had threatened yesterday to hack into BART's website in retaliation of BART shutting off cell phone service in its downtown San Francisco stations on Thursday to prevent a planned protest. We will comment on this action later, but needless to say, Anonymous was not happy about this.
If you are a subscriber to mybart.org, The Shadow strongly encourages you to go into the site now and change you password.
The Shadow will not release the third-party website where the information is currently posted.
The Shadow encourages Anonymous to end this cyber attack and take down the hacked subscriber list immediately.
We will keep you posted as events warrant.
Good night and good luck.
